What the Holset HE400VG is
The HE400VG is a Holset variable geometry turbo (VGT) with Holset’s sliding-nozzle vanes, best known on the Cummins ISX15. Holset distributors list 5456845H for the ISX 15.0L EPA10 single-cam engine (CM2250, about 2010.5-2012) and 5354721H for the ISX15 CM2350, where the fit depends on the engine serial number. On the ISX15 and on the Volvo MD13 in Volvo FH/FM and Mack MP8 trucks (4031000H) it has an electronic actuator; the HE400VG listed for Cummins ISL buses (4039124H) is pneumatically actuated, so not every HE400VG is the same.
