IHI RHF4 Turbochargers

What the IHI RHF4 is

The RHF4 sits between the RHF3 and RHF5 in IHI’s RHF series. IHI says its RHF series “is primarily applied to small displacement passenger car engines” and was designed to be interchangeable with the RHB series before it. IHI’s specification table gives the RHF4 46 to 130 PS on diesel engines and 62 to 177 PS on petrol engines, with a maximum speed of 190,000 rpm. A current version from IHI’s European arm has a pneumatic wastegate actuator and an integrated cast turbine housing.

Distributors list RHF4 numbers for the Holden Colorado RG 2.5 Duramax (VVM1), the Mercedes-Benz A180, B180 and CLA180 1.6 (9V104), the Mercedes-Benz M274 petrol in the C- and E-Class (9V110), the VM Motori D754 (VA73) and Yanmar industrial engines (CYFB). This page lists complete RHF4 turbos and CHRAs, mostly for Isuzu engines, with others for Shibaura, Yanmar, Caterpillar and Mitsubishi. Each listing here is one exact part number, so match the full number on your turbo’s tag, or call (909) 824-1020 with your engine model and serial number.
