What the Garrett GT2052 is
Garrett names the GT2052 as the smallest size in its GT Series. It is a journal-bearing turbo with an oil-cooled center housing (CHRA) and an internally wastegated turbine housing. Garrett’s performance version, 727264-5001W, has a 38 / 52 mm compressor wheel and a 47 / 40 mm, 72 trim turbine wheel, and Garrett rates it at 140 to 230 horsepower on engines of 1.4 to 2.0 liters.
