PT Turbo lists 4 complete turbochargers, 1 supercore and 1 CHRA cartridge for the Garrett G45-1500, with complete turbos from $4,520 to $4,639. Each listing is one exact part number, so match the number on your turbo’s data plate before ordering, or call (909) 824-1020 and we will match it for you.
The G45-1500 is a Garrett G-Series turbo with a dual ceramic ball bearing with steel cages, a 76 / 109 mm, 49 trim compressor wheel in a 0.85 A/R housing and an 89 / 82 mm, 84 trim Inconel turbine wheel; Garrett rates it at 750 to 1,500 horsepower on engines of 2.0 to 8.0 liters, with a maximum speed of 100,000 rpm. Garrett sells it as a standard-rotation supercore (888169-5005S) with free-float turbine housings, V-band or divided T4, in 1.01, 1.15, 1.28 and 1.44 A/R.
This page lists complete G45-1500 turbos with divided T4 turbine housings, the supercore and the CHRA. Garrett’s own guidance on turbine housings: a smaller A/R gives quicker boost response and more turbine power at low engine speed; a larger A/R lets the wheel flow more, with lower back pressure and more power at high engine speed.
