Do I have to come into the San Bernardino shop, or can I ship my turbo?
You can do either. Plenty of customers from LA, San Diego, and the coast box up their turbo and ship it to us, and we ship it right back when it is done.

How long does a turbo rebuild take?
Most standard rebuilds turn around in a few business days once we have the unit on the bench. We will give you a clear estimate when we see what you have.
What does shipping a turbo to you involve?
Drain the oil, wrap it well, and box it securely with your contact info and a note on the vehicle it came from. We will handle the rest and return ship it once the work is complete.
Do you work on diesel truck turbos?
Yes, diesels are a big part of what we do. Cummins, Duramax, Power Stroke, and the various stock and upgraded units common across Southern California are all in our wheelhouse.

PT Turbo Inspection Process

Every turbocharger goes through the same evaluation before any work begins:

  1. Initial evaluationcompressor wheel, turbine wheel, shaft, bearing housing, VGT assembly (if equipped), actuator, and seal surfaces are checked first.
  2. Complete disassemblythe turbocharger is fully torn down and every major component is inspected individually.
  3. Cleaningcomponents are cleaned to remove carbon, oil residue, rust, and contamination.
  4. Measurementcritical tolerances are measured against OEM specification.
  5. Reassemblyrebuilt using new wear components matched to your specific model.
  6. CIMAT VSR balancingthe rotating assembly is balanced in-house, with a balance report included.
  7. Final inspectionleak test, visual inspection, and actuator or wastegate function check before shipment.
