Results ATP reports
ATP rates the kit as capable of more than 400 horsepower. On a 2014 Fiesta ST it reports more than 310 wheel horsepower on the dyno (more than 330 with DIN correction) and a quarter mile of 12.4 seconds at over 110 mph with a Cobb tune. These are the distributor’s figures for its own car; your result depends on fuel, tune and supporting parts.
Blow-off valve: read before ordering
The stock Fiesta ST turbo has an electric diverter valve built into its compressor housing. Fitting a GT or GTX turbo removes it, and the stock valve does not flow enough for the larger turbo in any case, so a high-flow mechanical (vacuum-operated) blow-off valve is needed. The kit has a 1″ port for one, supplied plugged. ATP recommends the TiAL Q blow-off valve with a 1″ hose clamp flange, run from a vacuum source block and 3/16″ vacuum hose, and states that a vent-to-atmosphere valve of any brand works without drivability problems.
To avoid a fault code, have the stock diverter valve switched off in the engine tune. If the tune cannot do that, leave the valve’s electrical plug connected.
